Sylvia Makk is donating her oil painting "Edgy Red" 36"x36" to the American Heart Association's event Black Tie and Blue Jeans being held on July 12th at the Pacific Club! The amount raised in the silent auction will be donated 100% to the AHA. Sylvia is happy she can contribute to this worthy cause.

Americo Makk was awarded a prestigious gold medal from the Hungarian Government. It was presented to him here in Hawaii by the Consul General of Hungary on December 15th, 2013.

Fun Evening of Painting, Laughter, Hungarian Food and Friendship!

Fun was had by all, especially by one individual who had won painting lessons and a Hungarian dinner with the Makks.

She had attended the American Heart Associations Heart Ball at the Sheraton Waikiki!

Eva takes over as things get more difficult. Our guest really yearned for the likeness of her dog in the painting.

The painting is coming along.....

and coming along. Yes, said doggy had blue eyes.

Excitement was growing as the painting unfolded!!!

 

The Hungarian dinner included noodles, chicken paprikas, lecso (a hot vegetable dish consisting of sauteed onions, tomatoes, bell peppers seasoned with paprika), cabbage and cucumber salad (with sour cream and garlic). Delicious!!!!

Pam Campbell from the American Heart Association with her lovely daughter brought the scrumptious cake!!!!

After painting, eating and stories about the Makk family adventures and accomplishments, we took a final photo in front of "American Epic", a painting painted and signed by Eva, Americo and A.B. A true masterpiece!

A fun evening was had by all!!!!!

HOPE BALL 2013

Cancer League of Colorado

Eva and A.B. arrived home safely from Denver.

As the count stands, Makk artwork raised $30,000 for the Cancer League this month!!

We are honored to be able to help.

It's rare to have the opportunity to watch Eva Makk paint. Here she is painting for the pleasure of the Hope Ball attendees. Someone loved this painting so much, they bought it right then and there. A portion of the sale will go to the Cancer League of Colorado.

was auctioned off in the live auction during the Hope Ball.
