Join us for an exclusive evening featuring all four artists members of the international Makk Family. The diverse evening will include the unveiling of "Royal Evening" by Eva Makk, the exquisite painting that was selected by the Royal Hawaiian Hotel to be their Christmas card image this year.

Americo Makk ( Born in 1927 ) is an internationally acclaimed master painter and portrait artist of two United States Presidents. President Reagan 1984, President Carter 1979. Over the past 5 decades the importance of Americo Makk's work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including American Ecclesiastic Award, European Banner of the arts, Oscar d'Italia, Alfred Nobel Medal for Peace and Outstanding Achievement award for Western Paintings. Paintings by Americo Makk have been the focus of numerous major public exhibitions, including Carnegie International Center (NY), U.S. Senate Rotunda (D.C.) Monaco International Exhibition (Paris), St. Stephan Museum (Hungary), National Press Club and many other museums and galleries in the United States, Canada, Europe, South America & Japan.

Eva Makk has been called the worlds foremost living impressionist painter. Her distinguished career spans more than half a century. Her work has been the focus of major public exhibitions, Including U.S. Senate Rotunda, National Press Club, Carnegie International Center, St Stephan Museum and numerous other galleries and museums in the United States, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Monaco, Hungary, Brazil, Canada and Japan. Also a series (13) of 6 ft x 8 ft murals by Eva and Americo Makk, worth millions of dollars, hangs in one of the prominent national museums in Hungary.

A. B. Makk creates sparkling water scenes and sublime landscape paintings that have received international acclaim. His work is collected and exhibited widely, with museum and gallery exhibitions in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. Distinguished connoisseurs such as George Montgomery, Charlton Heston and Nathan Ancell, one of the co-founders of Ethan Allan Furniture, are among the many collectors enjoying works by A. B. Makk.. He is a winner of numerous awards, such as Distinguished American Award for Excellence, Graphics Society Recognition, and Arpad Academy Gold Medal.

Sylvia Makk enjoys using bold colors and large strokes with palette knife and brush to achieve various compositions from fields of flowers to abstract market stands, from modern sunsets to serene lily ponds.
Collectors include residents of Hawaii as well as many mainland states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Wisconsin, Nevada, Ohio, Alaska and Colorado. International collectors include Canada, Europe and Japan.

Aloha and Happy Thanksgiving!

Eva, Americo and A.B. are back from their many weeks on the mainland. They enjoyed meeting up with collectors and making new friends. Several of their paintngs found homes and are adding beauty and joy to the soul of their owners. They are happy to be home in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with Sylvia and Alexandra.

Makk Evenings On The Mainland!

Eva Makk and her son A.B. Makk have been enjoying sharing their Makk stories and artwork in many cities across the United States. Collectors have opened their doors and invited their friends to introduce Makk art into their lives. These evenings are fun as it is a rare opportunity to share wine and laughter with the artists in ones own home. Makk evenings are already being booked for Spring 2012 by those who just hosted them. See, I told you they were fun!

Makks At The Hope Ball In Denver - May 2011


Eva Makk and son A.B. Makk participated in the Cancer League of Denver's Hope Ball. Eva donated a painting for the live auction. It brought in the most amount of dollars ever for a piece of art donated to the annual function. Two articles about the event can be read by clicking on the links below:
